Documentary filmmaking meets strategic insight.

An intimate glimpse into women’s life journeys.  That’s the unique insight that independent documentary filmmaking can bring to strategic and creative thinking.

This is not a commercial.
This is not a webcam.
This is not a focus group.

It’s real women, documented by professional documentary filmmakers, who also happen to be women. The lives and stories of women form exploratory springboards for strategic revelation as well as illustrations of personal journeys, lifestyle and trends that are highly relevant to clients seeking competitive advantage and thought leadership as well as uncommon insight that bridges the gap between research and reality.

Why documentary filmmakers?
These independent filmmakers remove the barriers between the subject and the issue. They write, direct and produce their own films with small budgets. Women Documenting Women™ has unique access to a community of over 3,000 documentary filmmakers worldwide and is led by Sandra J. Ruch, former Executive Director of the International Documentary Association and Publisher of Documentary magazine. Ms. Ruch, who was also President of New Line Cinema and Manager of Cultural Programs for Mobil Oil Corporation, is Co-Founder of DocAngeles: The Los Angeles International Documentary Film Festival, which will launch in 2010.

How does it work?
Following completion of a client questionnaire and discussion of objectives and deliverables, Ms. Ruch and her team will match a subject with appropriate filmmaker.
